Research in practice: inclusive teaching and learning
Simple steps to help teachers improve inclusive teaching and learning.
Research can inform how you teach and what you teach – our Research in Practice resources explore and summarise some of the latest education research and provide ways to bring learning from research into your classrooms and schools.
In this resource, we have worked with Professor Lynne Bianchi and Bryony Turford to summarise their longitudinal research study looking at ways to bridge the primary and secondary transition by tackling educational disadvantage in the science classroom: SEERIH – Shining a light on inclusive science teaching and learning (7-14 years).
We have distilled three key themes from the research and included some simple steps to success that will help teachers to address each of the themes in their classroom practice.
