Purposeful practical: big circuit
A KS3 practical about circuits and how electric charge moves.
At all points in a closed circuit, electric charge moves at the same time and at the same speed.
In this practical activity, students predict which bulb lights first – one positioned closer to the positive terminal of a power source and the other much further away. The rope loop model is then introduced to explain why both bulbs light at the same time.
