Daisy Shearer: Postgraduate Researcher in Physics

Daisy Shearer is a physics postgraduate researcher and experimental quantum physicist. In adulthood, Daisy was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Growing up she had struggled socially and often felt overwhelmed and confused; her diagnosis helped her to understand some of the challenges and difficulties she had experienced.

Now, with adjustments and acceptance, Daisy is pursuing her career in quantum physics. She has also set up a project called Neurodivergent in STEM to showcase and celebrate the stories of people with a wide range of neurodivergence who work in science.
