Testing Emissions with Optical Gas Imaging Cameras

Vectur Energy Services supports the energy industry in making it cleaner, safer, and more efficient through use of technology and correct processes and procedures. One of the technologies they use are Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras which can identify leaks and monitor emissions.

The aim of this project is to research how OGI cameras operate, how they produce data and provide evidence that companies are within emission guidelines and following government legislation. This includes how technologies like OGIs have helped to make the industry safer and greener. You will also research how industry emissions testing and reporting has changed over time. Alongside this, you will explore emissions reporting for the energy sector and whether this is the same across the globe.

This project will be a mix of desk-based research and interviews with Vectur Energy staff. You will produce a report of your findings to present them to Vectur Energy Services.
