Effectively Engaging and Enabling a Future Renewable Energy Workforce
Effectively Engaging and Enabling a Future Renewable Energy Workforce
The East of England is a hugely important region in the rapidly growing offshore wind sector. One of these projects is the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone (NOWZone), which upon completion, will provide enough power for over 4 million UK homes. Such projects are only possible if we can recruit more people to work in offshore wind.
You will be based at the Norwich office with the Stakeholder and Community Engagement team. You will get the opportunity to join them on site visits and meet organisations across Norfolk in the project supply chain.
Aims:
We want you to explore how NOWZone engages people who could work in offshore wind. As a young person, your work here will be invaluable in bettering our engagement. You will look at the following:
- Understanding the job needs of NOWZone
- Mapping out where the future workforce are located.
- Are we engaging enough with these people and at the right time?
- Are these engagements meaningful enough?
- How can we make our engagement more meaningful?
You will present your findings of the project to members of the Norfolk Zone team, and potentially at events such as the East Wind and EEEGR conferences. You will also write a report, using the CREST award criteria as framework.
