Making a CAD file converter to share designs
In our industry, we use specialist 3D design software to design things. This software is always being upgraded, including new ways to share final designs.
Aims:
A previous project produced a macro to convert files from the drawing software Creo (MI files) to DWG files, theses DWG file could then be converted to pdf. We now would like it to take MI files and directly convert them to PDF.
To do this you will:
This project will involve working with the design office manager and other programmers to write a macro to convert the files from Creo’s MI format to pdf format.
You will be writing the program and macro, then testing it in a real-world application before presenting it to the company. The program you write could be used in future projects by PPI since we operate in an industry that is constantly evolving and a similar process may need to be done again in the future.
