CeraPhi Energy
Mapping how much heat different buildings need to help switch to greener and cheaper heat.
Heat Demand Mapping
CeraPhi Energy is a geothermal energy company. They use existing land wells – onshore locations where oil and gas were extracted – as geothermal heat sources.
The company is looking to identify buildings and businesses which may benefit from transitioning their heating provider to a geothermal heat source. To do this, CeraPhi need to be able to use computers to work out how much heat is needed to keep different buildings warm.
Aims:
This project aims to develop our heat demand mapping tool, particularly for Great Yarmouth and Norwich. This information will then be combined with other characteristics of our local area to determine where a geothermal heating system would offer the best environmental and economic solution.
To do this you will:
You will research and analyse data. You will also use your engineering skills and learn a new piece of software.
This is a team project.
