A lens on the Windfarms: Capturing Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal
Are you interested in social media content creation and video communication? Could you edit a video, podcast or TikTok? We’re looking for someone with creative flair and strong communication skills to translate engineering ideas for a wider audience.
Aims:
We need video and content to exhibit on our interactive screens at our newly relaunched Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon visitor centre (Windscape).
You’ll answer questions like: What happens offshore? And Who are the companies around Norfolk and Suffolk who supply our wind farms?
Working with another intern you will collaborate on your two independent projects.
To do this you will:
- Research offshore wind energy.
- Write scripts which make engineering concepts easy to understand for a wide audience.
- Interview stakeholders
- Edit audio and video for a range of platforms.
Key skills:
You need to have an interest in renewable energy and be able to make people feel at ease. You’ll be able to work without supervision, enjoy meeting new people and be happy to push yourself out of your comfort zone! You will have a good attention to detail and organise yourself to work to deadlines. Most importantly you want to work with a friendly team at South Denes, Great Yarmouth to learn more about offshore wind.

- Graphic design or computer aided design (CAD)
- Interest in sustainability
