Supporting Energy Transition from the East of England
The Energy Industry is expanding into new areas as new technologies are rolled out (e.g. offshore wind, nuclear, hydrogen, Carbon Capture etc.). Since many of our customers are in the energy industry, we need to understand how technology is changing the industry so we can stay ahead of these trends.
Clarksons Port Services is looking for an intern to identify potential business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends, as well as new opportunities for business development in new sectors or regions. We would also like them to provide insights into how Clarksons compares to its competitors and identify areas for strategic improvement.
Aims:
The aim of this project is to:
- Perform Lead Generation and Market Research on Emerging Energy Projects
- Analyse Clarksons’ competitors
To do this you will
- Research upcoming energy projects Clarksons could support (such as new offshore wind farms, nuclear, hydrogen or CCUS) in the East of England. Gather information on potential clients, project pipelines and key decision-makers.
- Create a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis for Clarksons’ key competitors in the offshore and energy logistics sectors.
- Collate your findings in a database and a report.
