Workshop Improvement & Costings

Because our company is growing, we are looking into extending our workshop space. With this in mind the company will need to look at costs, the effect on the site and local area, environmental requirements and the best way to lay out the workshop to make it work for all our staff.

Aims:

The aim of this project is to design a workshop which will work for the business and report on the following details:

• Costs e.g. building, interior layout, electrical installation etc.
• What environmental areas can be incorporated into the extension and benefits it will have to the business
• The area in which this will take place, what impact would this have on the staff and work projects

To do this you will:

• Research commercial building extensions
• Drawing – workshop footprint & internal workshop
• Environmental contribution – Research into what could be installed to help towards the company’s net zero commitments
• Research cost (due to materials, labour etc) to build the new workshop
• Safety Requirements – Fire doors, alarms etc
• You will receive Support from QHSE, Senior Project Manager & Director available
