Northumberland County Council
Analyse the energy usage of a council estate and identify ways to improve efficiency and decrease carbon emissions.
Energy Usage of the Council estate
Northumberland County Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and has an ambition for the county of Northumberland to be net-zero by 2040.
The intern will collect and analyse data on building energy usage in one of the council’s estates. They will compare their findings to benchmarks for good practice. Finally, the intern will develop recommendations for improved energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions to be implemented in the estate.
The intern will present their findings in a report and a presentation to key stakeholders.
