Stowen Clean Energy

Create a database of the VAT statuses of UK windfarms.

VAT Status of UK Windfarms

Stowen work with many windfarms across the UK. Some sites are subject to VAT; others are both VAT and Non-VAT applicable. This inconsistency creates difficulties for the company as they have to spend time researching unfamiliar windfarms.

The aim of this project is to create a database of all UK-based windfarms, their locations, and their VAT status. In addition, you will gain insight and knowledge into the activities that Stowen undertake and their contribution to keeping wind farms operational.

During the project, you will conduct desk-based research into windfarms across the UK. You will present this information in an easy-to-use format; this could be a spreadsheet or, time allowing, a web tool. The General Manager and Business Technology Manager will be available to support you throughout, and you will have opportunities to talk to other departments to inform your research into Stowen’s business activities.
