Gloveboard and Safety Glasses Information Board

Deutsche Windtechnik’s staff require personal protective equipment (PPE) in many of their roles. They would like their safety gloves and glasses to be stored on an information board that fits with their brand identity. This will provide a visual aid for technicians and staff informing them about the PPE available and helping to correctly identify the task for which PPE should be worn.

During the internship, you will carry out primary and secondary research (through consulting with technicians working for Deutsche Windtechnik) to find out what information needs to be included on the gloveboard. You will also carry out market research into the longevity of the products lives (consider how their use can be extended, as well as understanding the further implications the product has on the environment after its initial use- full life cycle, including the source of the PPE).

You will create a finished design for the glove/glasses information board which will be ready to be manufactured. You will also write up your research and design plans into a report.
