CeraPhi Energy
Create a visual map of facilities which could be heated using geothermal energy
Energy Transition Asset Mapping
CeraPhi Energy is a geothermal energy company. They use existing land wells – onshore locations where oil and gas were extracted – as geothermal heat sources. The company is looking to identify buildings and businesses which may benefit from transitioning their heating provider to a geothermal heat source.
The aim of this project is to identify facilities such as schools, universities, hospitals, and leisure centres near the 600+ existing land wells in the UK. Using an overlay map from the NSTA in conjunction with research into physical locations of suitable facilities, you will map out potential energy users. You will create a comprehensive database of energy users who are in a suitable location to use the geothermal energy from existing land wells and create a physical, visual map of these facilities.
This is a team project.
