This project will explore why the Offshore Wind Industry should embrace all elements of HSEQ and How to do so.
Health, Safety, Environment and Quality in the Offshore Wind Industry
The terminology HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) is commonly used throughout all industries, in particular the offshore wind sector. The overwhelming focus of the industry is on safety, however, and the other functions seldom get the same attention. At HSEQ-360, we are looking to raise the profile of HEQ among the companies we work with. This project will help us to identify ways businesses can implement HEQ as well as how we can present and promote this mindset.
This project will evaluate how the four functions of HSEQ are applied in live offshore wind farms and the companies who work with them. You should demonstrate statistically where the current key focus is by conducting surveys, observations, or analysis of their processes. The project will then complete a desktop study of ways the industry could focus on HEQ and the benefits associated.
The output of the project will provide recommendations and suggestions on how businesses working in the offshore wind sector can improve, using data from their current processes and suggestions of improvements.
