Clarksons Port Services

Investigate where the best place to build a support base for all of the new offshore windfarms being built off the coast of East Anglia and in the southern North Sea.

Southern North Sea Offshore Renewables Support Base

Can you help you find the best location for a new Offshore Renewables Support Base?

This will be a desktop study to research Southern North Sea (SNS) Ports to find the most suitable location for a possible new Offshore Renewables Support Base.

  • What is needed for an offshore renewables support base?
  • Understanding windfarm & port locations
  • Understanding vessels used during offshore renewables construction, operations and maintenance

With so many offshore windfarms in operation, construction and development off the East Anglian coast, can you find the best site for a new Offshore Support Base in the SNS?

Using Clarksons in-house information and technology, alongside traditional online research websites, and interacting with the Clarksons team, we would like you to provide a report on your findings and recommendations for the best port location.

This project will provide the student with unique access to information that needs to be considered in developing an offshore wind support base and a background knowledge in port requirements to support the offshore renewables sector.
