Applications for the 2019 summer internship programme are now open.
There are 46 internships available from 18 organisations with placements including research and outreach. There are some fantastic placements on offer, all designed to provide valuable experience and insight into possible careers or study avenues. Download the programme for full details of what is on offer.
The scheme is open to all Ogden undergraduate scholars or alumni (including those in their final year) and those at the end of a gap year (either pre- or post-university). Please note - it is unlikely that anyone will receive more than two internship awards during the course of their undergraduate degree.
An educational bursary is provided for successful internship applicants: £60 per day for up to 30 days or £70 a day for central London placements.
Internship diaries from previous interns can be found online; although every internship is different, these diaries give an idea of what you might be able to expect.
All applications are made online, using our Flexigrant system. To make your application, you must first register for Flexigrant. Once registered use the link to find the application form as it is not available on the application portal.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 7 April.
Information for Interns provides further information about the scheme – what you can expect and what will be expected of you. We recommend you read this document before making your application. Please remember to consider your accommodation and travel requirements before applying.
Limited funding is also available to alumni for Create Your Own Internships and International Internships. If you have found a summer work experience or research project here or abroad, Ogden funding may be available to support this placement. Further information can be found in the Summer internship programme document and applications are made via Flexigrant with the same closing date.
