Amanda works as a Teaching & Learning Coach for the Trust supporting the development and delivery of physics CPD provision and resources for primary school teachers. She provides advice and guidance on physics curriculum, assessment and evaluation in primary settings.
Amanda is a physics graduate and a qualified secondary physics teacher. She taught in secondary schools for over 17 years before moving to the primary sector. She has worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher of physics, Assistant Headteacher, and science lead across a multi-academy trust.
Amanda is completing a PhD study at Warwick University to investigate the impact of science laboratories in primary schools. She also works as a science education consultant supporting schools and various organisations with the development of primary science including leading Astro Camp UK, a national programme to develop space themed residential learning experiences in schools.
