The Chorley & South Ribble Partnership has built a strong relationship between the schools, even when it comes to the competitive activities like our annual Physics Olympics. We have embraced the current superhero movie franchise by delivering Superhero Science Magic Shows to primary and secondary schools, attended astronomy lectures, and enjoyed the Science Festival at the University of Central Lancashire. We’ve continued to train and use our Physics Buskers; and dazzled KS3 pupils with the beauty of Space through shows in the inflatable planetarium. Many primary schools have enjoyed participating in the Tim Peake Primary Project.

Back here on Earth we’ve delivered CPD sessions to support teachers in preparing for the new physics curriculum. We have also supported primary colleagues in their science teaching through the fantastic Phizzi Light & Sound resources.
