All of the schools within the Skipton & Keighley Partnership share the common aim to enrich the physics that we teach in lessons with the many extra-curricular opportunities that are available in the region.

For example, in October, BAE Systems performed a wonderful Physics Roadshow to KS3 students to raise awareness of careers in engineering. In December, 11 lucky Year 9 students visited Jodrell Bank for an exclusive Tim Peake launch event. Sixth-formers attended lectures at Leeds University and a Particle Physics Masterclass at Manchester University. The GCSE students visited Leeds Town Hall to hear talks from famous scientists such as Professor Jim Al-Khalili and Professor Robert Winston. Annual events such as the Ogden Physics Summer School and the trip to CERN continue to attract lots of interest from students.
