Carole Kenrick

Regional Representative in Primary Science, London / Surrey

As an Ogden Consultant, Carole’s aim is for the London and Surrey primary partnerships, Phiz Labs and Shine Labs to instil an enduring passion for physics in as many teachers and mini-scientists as possible! Carole went straight from her physics degree to training as a secondary science teacher in London. She then completed an MA in educational leadership, and worked as 2ic with responsibility for KS5 Science and then Head of Physics in inner-city London schools; subsequently she worked in secondary science ITE for Canterbury Christ Church University on the Teach First programme.

Since 2014, Carole has worked part time as the Scientist / Inventor in Residence at Lab_13 Gillespie, a pioneering space based in a North London primary school. Carole is undertaking a PhD, funded by The Ogden Trust, which focuses on how pupils’ science aspirations can be developed at primary school and sustained through their transition to secondary school.
