Our Phiz Lab at Shrubland Street Primary School has been operating for more than five years now under the leadership of Ogden Teacher Fellow, Amanda Poole. All KS2 children in the school have two hours a week of practical science enquiry time in the lab each week with KS1 and children from other schools in the local community using the lab at other times. The lab hosts a range of enrichment events and activities such as STEM Club, Destination Imagination STEAM Club, Astro Club, Polli:Nation Club, Annual Science Fairs, Space Camps for all children and a range of family learning events. 

In addition to this, the Phiz lab is home to the Leamington Spa Ogden Primary Partnership and runs a wide range of Primary Science CPD events for teachers from across the region. Shrubland Street Phiz lab has been recognised for its successes in primary science and has achiveved its Gold PSQM and SEQM Award, as well as being shortlisted for the TES Science Team of the year in 2014 and winning this prestigious award in 2015.
