PGCE Physics Scholarships

From 2011, The Ogden Trust is offering a number of PGCE Scholarships for students specialising in physics.

There are two categories of award:  
a) £2,500 for recent graduates and
b) £4,000 for career changers who have graduated at least 5 years previously
 
Criteria:

1) candidates must intend to work in the UK in state secondary education for at least four years after graduating
 
2) candidates must be nominated by their PGCE course director* or have successfully completed an Ogden Trust "Teach Physics" Internship, Physics Teaching Fellowship, or other Ogden-sponsored school-based programme

3) candidates in category (a) must have completed an in-school module as part of their degree or undertaken a school placement as part of the Student Associate Scheme or Undergraduate Ambassador Scheme

4) candidates must hold British citizenship or be permanently resident in the UK 

* Your PGCE course director will be able to tell you if they have an allocation of awards already granted to them by The Ogden Trust.  If they do not, they can contact Tim Simmons or Isla Dennis on office@ogdentrust.com to discuss participation in the scheme.  Students previously unknown to the Trust cannot apply directly to The Ogden Trust.
