Christos Hadjichristidis, Tudhoe Grange School
Christos developed various resources for the school and undertook some supervised teaching assignments.
 
Mark Coleman, Wellfield Community SchoolMarks assignment was an exclusively back room role to develop an individual learning pack for the school Intranet, which was at the heart of Wellfield's successful proposal to become a Beacon maths school.
 
Maggs Pullen, Deerness Valley School Maggs mainly produced resource materials to support science lessons. She also assisted with the science club.
 
Astrid Thompson, Woodham School
Astrid was heavily involved in the classroom, using her specialist knowledge in lessons, shadowing a teacher and teaching classes herself.
 
Trish Ranner, Hermitage School
Trish enjoyed her teaching experience so much that she left the scheme before completion to undertake a PGCE teacher-training course.
 
2005 / 2006

Helen Vaughan, Easington Community School
Helen has taught on her own and as part of a team and because the school lacks a permanent physics teacher has created physics lesson plans with supplementary materials and course-work.  She has also organised a school science club and arranged for the Institute of Physics "Lab in a Lorry" to visit the school.  She also accompanied the schools Gifted and Talented pupils to the Lake District for a week of outdoor activities by day and astronomy by night.
 
Mike Mawby, Shotton Hall School
Mike assisted in science classes and collaborative teaching of the earth modules in chemistry, and developed shared resources for the science department. He has also developed environment coursework for the year 10 applied science course as well as organising extracurricular activities for key stage 3 and 4 students.
 
Margaret Harris, Greenfield School Community & Arts College
Margaret has led the year 11-science club, tutored a gifted year 8 student with autism and organised various trips to local science events.
 
Matt King, Durham Gilesgate Sports College & Sixth Form Centre
 
Heather Handley, Staindrop Comprehensive School
Heather been organising extracurricular activities for Key stages 3 and 4 including science clubs, experimental classes, field trips and science festivals, as well as mentoring students with coursework.
