Lab in a Lorry

The Lab in a Lorry programme consists of three articulated lorries that have been visiting schools, youth organisations, major events, and communities across the United Kingdom and Ireland since 2005. Each lorry is fitted with three distinct lab areas where groups of up to six 11-14 year olds can take part in each of the interactive experiments. The programme is delivered by volunteers, all of whom are practising scientists and engineers, with at least one volunteer mentor to every six students.

Lab in a Lorry North West is a partnership between the Institute of Physics, The Ogden Trust and The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, which offers Ogden schools and science partnerships in the region the chance to block book the lab. There is no charge.
