The Royal Society Ogden Trust Research Fellowship Scheme

The Royal Society is the UK’s most prestigious independent scientific academy with a worldwide reputation for promoting science. It runs extensive research fellowship programmes supporting scientists across all disciplines, especially in their early careers. This extensive experience in directly supporting research scientists of international quality will now be brought to the area of science and mathematics education research.

Each Education Research Fellowship will support an exceptional, early- to mid-careers educational researcher in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. In addition to the full-time salary, the Royal Society will offer the Education Research Fellows the use of their facilities, a range of professional training opportunities and support in career progression both during the Fellowship and as an alumnus.

The Ogden Trust will fund two Education Research Fellowships with an emphasis on physics education each for five years. One will commence in October 2009 and the other in October 2010.
