6th Form Science Scholarships: criteria

For entry at sixth form level for two years of Physics A-level study
  • The Ogden Trust aims to sponsor British students of outstanding scientific ability who would benefit from attending a leading independent school in the sixth form but who cannot afford the fees.
  • Awards are up to 100% of fees, although a parental contribution is required according to means.
  • Candidates should be intending to read physics at University.
These scholarships operate through over 60 schools associated with The Ogden Trust, who match the Trust's funding on a 50:50 basis. See schools list.  If you wish to apply to one of the schools in the list, please contact the school direct.

If you wish to apply for an Ogden science scholarship to attend a school that is not in the current list, you may approach the Trust directly, who will then advise if the school fits the criteria and establish if it is prepared to provide matching funding. You must already have been offered a place at the school and a means-tested scholarship or bursary worth at least part of the fees.
