Ogden Alumni Association

Alumni News

The first Ogden Summer Interns have taken up their posts at schools and universities around the country.  Twenty-three Ogden scholars have grabbed the opportunity to gain experience in research, teaching and business environments.  This is the first time the Ogden Trust has organised and sponsored such an initiative for its alumni and we anticipate it will be a valuable programme for its participants.

The much anticipated Ogden CERN trip is now fully booked.  Twenty-one Ogden alumni will visit CERN in September as part of a 3-day trip to Geneva.  The party will be accompanied by Professor Carlos Frenk, Ogden Professor of Fundamental Physics at the University of Durham.

The Alumni Association now has a Facebook group.  Ogden scholars past and present are encouraged to make a request to join.

We know that Ogden scholars appreciate the funding the Trust provides them but we are keen to broaden the services that we offer beyond the purely financial. To this end, The Ogden Trust appointed Isla Dennis as its first Alumni Relations Officer in November 2009.  In an increasingly competitive world, the Ogden Trust aims to provide its scholars past and present with opportunities that will enhance their knowledge, experience, employability through networking activities, events, work experience and communications.

Full details about the range of services that Isla is developing is only available to registered members of our 'members only' database (called webALUMNUS), which recipients of Ogden scholarships and awards are invited to join.  To register on webALUMNUS or keep your details up-to-date, click here, or go to the Alumni Members' Area (formerly signposted ogdentrust.net) under Related Pages at the top of this page.
