Faster than the speed of light?
Students, teachers and members of the public packed the auditorium for the first University of Warwick Christmas Lecture, organised by Ogden School Teacher Fellow Ally Caldecote.
There was a full house for the talk by particle physicist Daniel Scully as he enthused about the recent news that neutrinos may be able to travel faster than light – a discovery that could change the foundation of physics.
The talk was part of a growing programme of physics engagement activities designed to raise aspirations in the study and understanding of physics, and to demonstrate the relevance of this subject in our everyday lives.
If you would like to hear Daniel’s talk for yourself, you can find it on YouTube.
