Sir Peter Ogden named new Institute of Physics Honorary Fellow
Five new Honorary Fellowships were announced by the Institute of Physics on 6 July 2010 including Sir Peter Ogden. This honour has been given to only 38 people during the IOP's history and the other 2010 Honorary Fellowships were awarded to Prof Freeman Dyson, Sir John Enderby, Prof Peter Kalmus and Prof Lisa Randall. The Fellowships are awarded in recognition of major contributions to physics research and education and Sir Peter was nominated by Professor James Stirling CBE FRS, the Jacksonian Professor of Natural Philosophy at The Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge.
