The Large Hadron Collider within the CERN complex on the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva
A party of 21 Ogden scholars, led by Professor Carlos Frenk, Ogden Professor of Fundamental Physics at the University of Durham, will travel to Geneva in September for a 3-night trip including a one day tour of the CERN laboratories. The announcement of the trip has been met with enthusiasm by Ogden scholars and applications are coming in fast.
The party will travel to Geneva on 21st September and enjoy a walking tour of the old town and a traditional Swiss fondue before spending the next day touring the facilities at the CERN laboratories. The final day of the trip will include a tour of the UN building and a cruise on beautiful Lake Geneva as well as some free time for shopping and further sight-seeing.
To apply for a place on this subsidised trip, Ogden scholars should visit the Alumni Members' Area where they will find further details and an application form.
