2007 1st Prize Trip to New York – Leeds Girls’ High School
Leeds Girls’ were the victors of the 2007 National Schools Business Competition. Their reward for their efforts was a 5 day trip to New York at the beginning of March, staying at the 5 star Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue. Part of the prize featured attendance at ‘Business – An American Perspective’ – a one day conference at New York University, consisting of a panel of notable speakers, including representatives from Virgin and Coca-Cola, amongst others.
Zoe Benedict, Rachel Froebel and Sylvie Hall were also awarded prize money of £500. They chose to see ‘Grease’, on Broadway, scream at a Knicks game at Madison Square Gardens and have a bit of pampering with a Guerlain beauty treatment.
Below are some pictures of the winners enjoying their prize. The last photo shows the girls meeting EET’s Patron HRH Prince Andrew at an EET Reception at St James’ Palace on 26 February 2008.
